How am I doing, boss? Giving feedback in the workplace
It is probably only coincidence that prescriptions for Valium and Prozac seem to increase during a company's annual performance appraisal. Often the only feedback an employee receives during the year occurs at this meeting. Without continual feedback, the leader is inadvertently communicating that performance doesn't matter. Participants will learn how to set quantifiable performance objectives to more accurately assess performance, plus learn the steps to providing positive and corrective performance feedback in both informal and formal situations.
