  • What counseling options are available?

    Employees may access counseling in the way that best fits their needs: in person at the Pastoral Institute in Columbus, with a local therapist from our affiliate provider network, or through telehealth services (video or telephone) with either provider.

  • What types of issues are normally addressed through the Pastoral Institute?

    Depression, Anxiety, Stress, Grief & Loss, Family issues, Trauma, Children and more.

  • Are my appointments confidential?

    Yes. Your EAP counseling appointments are confidential. In compliance with HIPAA privacy regulations, your employer will not be informed if you use your EAP counseling visits.

  • Why should a company become an EAP Partner?

    An Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provides employees and their dependents with counseling and support for personal or family issues that may affect work performance, health, or well-being. Think of it as the mental health component of your employee benefits package that helps reduce absenteeism, decrease turnover, and improve morale. Confidentiality is maintained in accordance with privacy laws and ethical standards in our billing, and our EAP partner clients are given priority scheduling.
