Designed to help clergy in their care of the families in their congregations, this class will incorporate learning opportunities from the film I Never Sang for My Father, starring Melvyn Douglas and Gene Hackman.

The film is rich with examples of family dynamics, tensions and expectations,
all of which frequently are divulged to clergy. But how do you respond?

Participants will:
• discuss how a pastor could provide pastoral care for the family in the movie
• focus on how to provide pastoral care for the families in their congregations

Take some time to get away, hone your skills and fellowship with other clergy
before the holiday season is in full swing!
