Mental Health 101 for Supervisors

Community Room, Pastoral Institute

Recognizing and dealing with common workplace mental health issues

One in five Americans has a mental illness. Many are reluctant to seek help or might not know where to turn for care. Most of these individuals lead productive lives and are in the workplace, yet supervisors and co-workers are often unaware of how to deal with those struggling with mental illness. This class will teach participants about the signs and symptoms of specific illnesses like anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, eating disorders, and addictions. Additionally, it will offer concrete tools and answer key questions like "What can I do?" and "Where can someone find help?"

This is an 8 hour workshop plus lunch.

Facilitator: Mark Strunk LPC, MFT, CEAP, BCC
