Session II. Pre-marital/Marital Therapy: Toward a Theology of Unity
Clergy and congregations are constantly addressing issues of pre-marital and marital stresses. This session will address such questions as: What is the latest research on the effectiveness of pre-marital counseling? How can pre-marital counseling be strengthened? What are the signs of a healthy marriage? How can the congregation support healthy marriages? Pastorally, how can a clear “Theology of Unity” assist us in developing a support mechanism for healthy marriages in our congregations and community?
