Session IV. Pastoral Transitions: Toward a Theology of Conciliation
For many years the stages of Kubler-Ross have been a framework for understanding pastoral transitions. Is this a viable model? Is it a useful model based on the latest research? What happens to congregations in times of pastoral transition? What happens to pastors and their families in the midst of transition? In this session we will explore these issues and how a deeper understanding of a “Theology of Conciliation” can support and guide congregations, clergy, and families through times of transition.
