Depression looks different for everyone.
It is more than simply having a bad day or feeling sad from time to time. Sometimes the signs are obvious. Other times, depression can show up gradually.

You may be experiencing:

  • Persistent sadness or feeling emotionally numb
  • Feeling overwhelmed, hopeless, or disconnected
  • Loss of interest in activities you once enjoyed
  • Changes in sleep or daily routines
  • Low energy or ongoing fatigue
  • Pulling away from family, friends, or social activities
  • Feelings of guilt, worthlessness, or self-doubt
  • Increased irritability or frustration
  • Difficulty finding motivation for everyday responsibilities

If these feelings are affecting your life, relationships, work, school, or overall well-being, counseling may help.
